Community, Research, Evaluation and Development

The Community Research, Evaluation & Development (CRED) team partners with communities and organizations to deliver high-quality, culturally-responsive research and evaluation. Our work helps people strengthen programs, demonstrate impact, and build healthier, more resilient families, communities, and environments across Arizona and the Southwest.

About

CRED brings together a diverse team of faculty, staff, and students with expertise in evaluation, research design, data analysis and visualization, training, and community engagement. With backgrounds in public health, education, psychology, geography, and more, we combine rigorous technical skills with local knowledge to support partners in turning data into meaningful action.

Our Mission

Our goal is to help our partners make sense of what they’re doing, what’s working, what they can improve, and where they can go next. We offer tailored support in program design and evaluation, strategic planning and facilitation, community engagement, training and technical assistance, mixed-methods evaluation, and data systems that work for people. For years, CRED has worked on the ground with partners across Arizona— nonprofits, schools, Tribal nations, government agencies, university partners, and Cooperative Extension— to create accessible, actionable insights that partners can use to guide decisions, secure funding, and create lasting change.
