Madeleine deBlois, Sc.D.

As Assistant Specialist in Evaluation with University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, I provide evaluation leadership and support across all four Extension pillars: Family, Consumer and Health Sciences (FCHS), Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR), 4-H Youth Development (4-H), and Tribal Extension. My work focuses on building evaluation capacity within and beyond Extension, for the betterment of all Arizona. This means supporting partners in strengthening evaluative thinking, gathering formative data to inform program design, refining programs through continuous improvement, and documenting impacts to share their stories with interest holders. I connect university expertise with local leaders who are building a healthier future for Arizona residents, families, communities, and ecosystems.

In addition to this capacity-building work, I am the faculty lead of the Community Research, Evaluation & Development (CRED) Team. The CRED Team brings together a diverse team of faculty, staff, and students with expertise in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, research design, data analysis and visualization, training and technical assistance, and community engagement. CRED's work is rooted on the ground with partners across Arizona, including Tribal Nations, state and local government agencies (e.g., First Things First, health departments), justice systems, schools, non-profit agencies, UA colleagues, and Cooperative Extension.
