Starting Fall 2026

We will welcome our first cohort of students to the Financial Therapy Certificate in Fall 2026. Applications will open closer to that date. 

100% Online Financial Therapy Coursework

Offered in a fully online environment, you'll complete four courses on money and family dynamics, behavioral finance, and current trends in financial therapy research. 

Financial Therapy Association's CFT-1 Credential Eligibility

This program also meets the competencies required for the Financial Therapy Association’s CFT-1™ credential, making it an ideal choice for professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in the emerging field of financial therapy.

Required Coursework

Complete 12 units of core coursework:

  • PFFP 510 (3) Introduction to Financial Therapy
  • PFFP 512 (3) Money and Family
  • PFFP 514 (3) Behavioral Finance
  • PFFP 516 (3) Financial Therapy & Research

Admissions Requirements

When the application opens for the Financial Therapy certificate, applicants will be required to submit the following:

  1. Statement of Purpose
  2. Resume/Curriculum Vitae
  3. Transcripts showing earned Bachelor's Degree with a 2.75 or higher.
