Ruth C. Hall, Ph.D.
Professor and Director Emerita, Home Economics
As the School Director from 1956 until 1975, Dr. Hall brought the school’s programs to national distinction by serving as an effective leader. She served as president of the American Home Economics Association (AHEA) and developed links with Russia and Latin America. She spearheaded a one-million dollar campaign that culminated in 1960 with the creation of a new, state-of-the-art building that served as the School’s home until 2008, when construction of McClelland Park was completed.
