Mahek Nirav Shah

Broadly, my research interests focus on examining the role of finances in close relationships. Specifically, I am interested in how different aspects of finances (e.g., couple financial communication and financial stress) influence how couples navigate their relationship. My work leverages the power of statistics as a storytelling tool and is interdisciplinary, drawing on a variety of theoretical frameworks, including those from HDFS, family finance, and social psychology.
