Family Law Student Internship

Step Up to Justice

Step Up to Justice, a nonprofit legal center in Tucson, AZ, has an opening for a family law student internship for the upcoming fall semester.

The family law intern will have the opportunity to learn about different types of family law cases in the Pima County Superior Court such as paternity, divorce, third party rights, post decree modifications, and more.  The family law intern will provide administrative support for SU2J program staff by handling tasks such as scheduling client appointments, conducting follow-up calls with clients, and completing other duties necessary for the operation of SU2J's family law clinics. During their time at SU2J, the family law intern will be exposed to real filings such as parenting plans, decrees, and minute entries. The family law intern must have strong communication and organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to treat clients who are undergoing difficult situations with respect and professionalism.

Students can apply by sending an email with their resume and a cover letter to Jacqueline Alvarez, Director of Community Education and Outreach to jalvarez@stepuptojustice.org.
