Hello!

My name is Cassandra Ott-Kocon, and I am the Experiential Learning Coordinator for the Norton School of Human Ecology.

Who am I?

I am a native Tucsonan with degrees in business and education. I started working at the University of Arizona in 2010 as a student employee, and have had roles in the Bookstore, Human Resources, Marketing, and the Eller College of Management before transitioning to the Norton School of Human Ecology in fall 2022. I am a big advocate of community service and mentorship and am an active member in Tucson Young Professionals.

What is Experiential Learning?

Simply put, experiential learning means learning by doing. My role is to help students find opportunities outside of the classroom to apply the concepts they learn in a real-world context. With that, I will be assisting students through their internship search, teaching the internship course, sharing study abroad options, offering interactive professional development workshops, and more.
