First Things First

Opportunity to work with First Things First to conduct a statewide assessment of Arizona’s pre-kindergarten programs. Per the description below, we will be hiring up to 10 part-time data collectors to be involved in this. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a background in early child development and who might be seeking a part-time position to work directly with Pre-K programs, teachers, children, and their families (travel will be involved). We are seeking part-time ($25/hour for up to 15 hours/week) dynamic, detail-oriented Data Collectors (up to 10 positions) to help collect data from young children enrolled in preschool programs across the state of Arizona. Data collectors will have the opportunity to be involved in the implementation of a multi-site research study evaluating the effectiveness and quality of early childhood caregiving programs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to applied research that informs policy and practice in early childhood education. The positions are ideal for those with research experience and the ability to follow precise protocols for assessing young children’s academic and social competencies. It is also ideal for those who have a passion for early childhood education.

As Data Collectors, the successful candidates will work closely with academic researchers, early childhood caregiving staff, and external partners to ensure -quality data are collected and that the protocols are executed with rigor, timeliness, and sensitivity. The positions will involve some travel across the state of Arizona (reimbursed).
