New York Fashion Week with the University of Arizona

Through strategic partnerships between The University of Arizona, Collegiate Licensing Company and IMG's fashion events division, students are offered the opportunity to attend a one-of-a-kind educational experience at Spring and Fall New York Fashion Weeks.

About the experience

This unique all expenses paid, academic enrichment program will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the fashion industry, including entry into select runway shows, panel discussions and networking opportunities with industry leaders, as well as on-the-job shadowing with retailers and collegiate licensees. ALL STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF MAJOR, ARE WELCOME TO APPLY

 

Students who aspire to work in fashion and many other related industries will learn first-hand about the business of fashion and prepare for their future careers through valuable networking opportunities, including time with members of IMG’s fashion team. The program delivers unique academic enrichment opportunities for the students, with costs covered by the universities’ Trademark and Licensing program. Besides The University of Arizona, institutions who have participated in IMG’s NYFW program included Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Delaware, Howard, Michigan State, Northern Arizona, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, TCU, Texas A&M, UCLA, Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia Tech, Western Michigan and West Virginia.

 

Through this unique collaboration of fashion and college only available at IMG, the University of Arizona has been able to provide priceless, one-of-a-kind experiences and insights into the opportunities in the fashion and retail industry for students.

How to apply to NYFW

To be considered for the Fall 2024 New York Fashion Week experience, students must submit the following items to licensing@arizona.edu:

Personal Statement

  • Why you would be an exceptional representative for the University of Arizona?
  • How will this experience impact your professional goals?

Unofficial Transcript

  • Transcript must be from an accredited college.

Two Letters of References

  • Letters can be from professors at the university, advisors, and employers. (Cannot be from any of the judges for the competition).

NOTE: When submitting via email please label the subject line "Your Name and NYFW Statement".

 

Deadline to submit statement, transcript and 2 references is Monday, February 26th at 5 PM.
