I am the Academic Program Manager for the Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I earned my B.A. from the University of Arizona, where I fell in love with Tucson, the UA community, and higher education. I went on to pursue graduate degrees in Student Affairs and Higher Education, receiving my Master’s degree from the University of Southern California and my Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. My research has focused on higher education structures, practices, and policies, examining the ways students are supported or discouraged within educational institutions. I also focus on the ways higher education professionals like advisors and faculty advocate for students in their everyday practices, despite operating within complex higher education systems. I truly look forward to collaborating with students as they work toward their academic, personal, and professional goals. I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, where all students are provided individualized guidance and opportunities that meet their needs. I love to learn and I’m so fortunate to learn alongside students every day working at the University of Arizona. Outside of work I like to run, hike, camp, and spend time outdoors. To me there’s nothing better than a simple day filled with sun, good music, good coffee, and being with my animals.
