Youth Development Program Assistant

Opportunity for Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024 - unpaid.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop educational and marketing materials. Including handouts and ranch-related educational materials.
  • Assist with program development and creating engaging activities for youth ages 8-18.
  • Assist with tabling, volunteer events, and workdays at the Bar V Ranch to promote the ranch education program.
  • Collaborate with community members and partners in agriculture to support career-paths in farming, ranching, food sovereignty, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge or interest in learning about regional food systems, farming and ranching in the arid southwest, animal husbandry and rangelands.
  • Communication and timeliness
  • Advanced written and Word editing skills
  • Ability to create and edit in Canva or a similar program

The Pima County Cooperative Extension building is located at 4210 N.
