This internship provides candidates the opportunity to gain hands-on financial services experience from the top Ameriprise Financial practice in Arizona. The focus of this internship is to introduce the candidate to our industry and to assist in strengthening the skills necessary to serve financial planning clients and market to prospects. The position offers exposure to all facets of the financial planning business. Candidates will learn from industry experts and gather knowledge of financial planning strategies that can be applied to improving their own personal financial success.
Qualified candidates:
- must be detail-oriented
- have strong organizational skills
- have proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- be proficient in several social media outlets, including Facebook and LinkedIn
- be proficient with basic computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel (Outlook a plus)
- must have strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact with clients and colleagues (verbal and written)
- have the ability to work independently, but within a team environment as well
- will be entering their junior or senior year, majoring in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Communications or Business Management
We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your schedule, but need working hours to be during normal business hours (no nights or weekends). Internships are currently available and positions are limited. There is an opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus of up to $1,000 at the end of the session, based on job performance.
