For child life students looking for a 120-hour practicum this summer, aligned with ACLP standards, we have spots remaining on our Child Life Practicum program in Cape Town! We’re also excited to announce that applications are now open for our scholarship program.
Since 2008, we have run our award-winning child life programs in South Africa and, over the past few years, have developed a 4-week, 120-hour Child Life Practicum in Cape Town, designed to meet the Association of Child Life Professionals' practicum standards and led by certified child life specialists, including past ACLP presidents. As part of the practicum experience, our on-site workshops focus on clinical application of developmental theory, cultural humility, and internship preparation. We also review the new ACLP common application process and KSA’s.
The practicum experience is open to child life students as well as to those interested in the field. Start dates are currently available between June and October 2023.
