Do you enjoy helping kids? The Borderlands Education Center and Casa Alitas, part of the Catholic Community Services are seeking interns to lead children’s activities.
Alitas, or wings, is a humanitarian aid project committed to providing assistance to asylum-seekers released from ICE and Border Patrol detention into our community.
- Cultivate culturally competent and trauma-informed educational support for migrant children. Alitas welcomes guests into a comfortable, safe, healthy location while they prepare to reunite with family across the country.
- Develop & implement age-appropriate projects with support from Make Way for Books! (art, stories, science, imaginative play) for young ESL learners.
- Come and make an impact! We accept interns speaking any language(s) and have in-person and virtual opportunities. Since 2014, Casa Alitas has served nearly 100,000 people from all over the world!
